Driving Directions

From Arlington and Washington, D.C., take I-66 W to exit 69 for Sycamore St. toward Falls Church. Turn right onto N Sycamore St., then take your first left onto Washington Blvd. In 0.3 miles, turn left onto US-29 S, then turn right onto Park Ave. at the corner with The State Theatre. Take your first left onto N Maple Ave. to find us in the second building on your right, at the corner of N Maple Ave. and W Broad St.

From Fairfax, get on I-66 E toward Washington; take exit 66 and merge onto VA-7 E/Leesburg Pike toward Falls Church. In 1.8 miles, turn left onto N Maple Ave. to find Clay Cafe Studios immediately on your left.

The land that became Falls Church was first settled by Europeans in the late 1600s; the earliest dated structure is believed to have been completed in 1699. Falls Church itself, the city’s namesake, was built in 1733 and remains a famous structure within the city limits.

Today, Falls Church is an independent city with a population of more than 12,000 residents. The city was incorporated in 1948 and still contains numerous historic sites, including the Birch House, Cherry Hill, and Mount Hope.
